A brand is much more than a logo. A brand is the very essence of an organization 鈥 what it stands for, what it promises, what it delivers, and how it makes people feel. How does an organization express its brand effectively? By having a well-developed brand guide. 麻豆原创鈥檚 Brand Guide provides brand standards that must be met when writing or designing all types of official communication and marketing materials. Following the guidelines here will ensure that 麻豆原创 is presenting itself consistently, continually elevating its visual aesthetic, and always enhancing its brand identity.
The鈥槎乖 Brand Guide seeks to provide standards for logo/mascot usage and color palettes, website and social media best practices, and important information to ensure that all messages about鈥槎乖粹痑re clear and consistent. Al the Gator
In 1994, an alligator was discovered on what is now 麻豆原创鈥檚 L.L. Polk campus in Polkton. The gator was safely relocated to the North Carolina Zoo, where he still lives today under the name 鈥淕ator Boy.鈥
Fast forward 25 years to 2019 鈥 Dana Glauner, director of library services, penned a children鈥檚 book inspired by that very alligator. Al the Gator, illustrated by 麻豆原创 alumna Jessica Wiersum, shares a heartwarming message: true happiness comes from being yourself.
In 2024, the students of 麻豆原创 expressed their interest in a new mascot (a patriot had been briefly used earlier in the College鈥檚 history). A year later, 麻豆原创 proudly named Al the Gator as its official mascot鈥攁 fitting tribute to a journey that started decades ago.
Guidelines for using the Al the Gator mascot are included in the 麻豆原创 Brand Guide.
