�鶹ԭ�� students now have another guaranteed admission opportunity – Western Carolina University’s Connect program. 

�鶹ԭ�� officially joined the WCU Connect transfer program earlier this month.

“At �鶹ԭ��, we are unrelenting in our pursuit of pathways for students to advance academically, professionally, and personally. The WCU Connect does all three – providing students a direct route to continue their studies, prepare for their future careers, and experience university life at WCU. We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to our students, and we look forward to seeing them go on to become Catamounts,” said �鶹ԭ�� President Dr. Stacy Waters-Bailey.

To be eligible to participate in WCU Connect, �鶹ԭ�� students must be enrolled in a transfer program and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. After earning their associate’s degree from �鶹ԭ��, they can apply to WCU and enroll within one academic year of graduating from �鶹ԭ��. Some programs of study at WCU may have specific admissions requirements and processes. 

In addition to guaranteed admission to WCU, students who participate in WCU Connect will receive early access to a major-specific advisor and a personal admission counselor, access to the university’s Hunter Library, admission to select athletic events and campus events, priority orientation, and a discount at the WCU Bookstore. 

Additionally, students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher may also be invited to join WCU’s Brinson Honors College.
